Our Biswas hosts Fundraising dinner to raise awareness for our causes and raise funds to benefit the communities, people, and projects we serve.2019: 29 September .
Lansing , MI: About 100 guests attended the 2019 fund raising event. The event was a great success with a classical Indian dance presentation, a video presentation of the Nano Finance and other projects in Odisha, India, and a power point presentation of Nano Finance project in Kampala, Uganda.

2017: 27 September .
East Lansing , MI: More than 110 guests attended the event. Presentations were provided by Joyasree Mahanti (Odisha Program), April Stone (Uganda Program) and Nadita Jain (Financials). We raised over $37,000. The plan is to use the funds for the expansion of Nano Finance programs in Odisha and Uganda and specifically to buy raw materials for the Sanitary Napkin unit in Odisha

Durham, NC: It was a very successful event. The event was organized by Urmila & Devendra Pateriya and Shilpa & Nitin Kundeshwar. 45 guests attended and the Power Point presentation was inspiring. They were able to raise close to $6000. We thank the organizers and their friends for their support.
2015: 18 January
Dengapola Village, Jagatsingpur, Odisha, India More than 800 women came from different villages to share their experiences and talked about Aamara Biswas and Nano Finance concept

2014: 14 September
East Lansing , MI: Due to increased interest in the services of Our Biswas, we had to hold the annual fund raising event in a larger hall with dinner. About 130 guests attended the event. A Power Point presentation was provided by Joyasree Mahanti. We raised over $10,000. The plan is to use the funds for the Jagatsingpur training center, Nano Finance project, and for a workshop (scheduled January 18, 2015) in Odisha.
Durham, NC: A very successful event though no one locally was aware of Aamara Biswas or Our Biswas. It was organized by the Pateriya family. 37 people attended and the Power Point presentation was inspiring. Music presented by six singers was followed with dinner. Many generous checks came from family and friends of the Pateriya family from different states. They were able to raise close to $8000. Thank you to the Pateriya Family and Friends.

2013: 22 September There were many more attendees than previous years. We raised about $7000. The funds were used for supporting the teacher's salaries, paying rents for the Jagatsingpur training center, buying fabrics to make ladies garments, and for expansion of the Nano Finance project.

2012: 21 September The fund raising event is getting better with each year. We raised about $3977. The funds were used to buy fabrics for making garments and three sewing machines. The funds were also used to support the teacher’s salaries for one year for the Kiakata Training center. Additionally, these contributions covered the salary of another sewing teacher for the training center in Jagatsingpur district of Eastern Odisha and the purchase of additional fabrics. With your help, Aamara Biswas not only has trained more than 100 girls, but also has provided these girls the opportunity to earn their livelihood independently.

2011: 19 September It was another successful event. We raised about $2000. The entire amount was used for establishing a training center in Kiakata, an interior village of the state of Orissa, India.
